Summer Internships.
Summer is always a busy time in Boystown - we host one of the country's largest LGBTQ PRIDE Parades along, with countless markets, festivals and neighborhood events - each creating an opportunity for (un)common good collective to provide a unique urban experience for our Chicago-based interns.
While in the program, individuals will learn how to engage in strategic community organizing, extensive leadership training, and personal development, including ::
• involvement in various UGC projects, giving voice to how to best develop and provide leadership to programming
• leading events in various neighborhoods around the city promoting the mission, work and values of UGC
• opportuntities to work alongside and learn from high caliber leaders within the Collective
• participate in weekly meetings with (un)common good collective staff and partners around the city
• developing life-long friendships and camaraderie with other interns, UGC staff and partners
• personal development and extensive leadership training, and strategic planning in community organizing
• rigorous and challenging curriculum custom built for the interns' passion and interests as it relates to UGC's mission
(un)common good collective is currently accepting applications (thru March of 2020) for a June-August (90 day) internship for summer of 2020. To begin the application process or to find out more about internship requirements and FAQs, please contact us by clicking the box directly below this text.
