get plugged into the network...

our vast Collective network, combined with over-two-decades-long-experience in working at the intersections of faith, culture and politics uniquely positions (un)common good collective to be an agent of positive change, allowing us to partner with other individuals and organizations equally committed to the work of promoting a more kind, just and generous expression of our shared humanity and faiths.

doing good is quite common, actually... we may even notice countless people 'doing good' around us every day, if we simply have the sensibility to take notice. what is historically uncommon, however, is for people of goodwill to share their resources and knowledge within their communities - to intentionally collaborate together toward the common good - rather than to compete for donor dollars and platform.

that 'business as usual' methodology hasn't gotten us to where we need to be; rather, it simply maintains the status quo.

(un)common good collective seeks to develop strong partnerships nationally, locally and hyper-locally with those who are working together toward creating a more fair and equitable, just and generous world by giving our resources - creating opportunities to work toward efforts of building a shared economy of goodness.

JOANNE MARIE TERRELL

Associate professor of theology, ethics & the arts
chicago theological seminary

'Michael Kimpan is a wonderful example of left-and-right-brain balance: a humanitarian, community organizer, and a creative writer versed in local, state, national and global culture and politics; proficient at synthesizing vast amounts of relevant information, with a record of producing astonishing ecologies on behalf of both religious and secular communities.'

author, speaker, activist

'Michael Kimpan is an insightful, visionary leader. His great passion is to model his life on the example and message of Jesus. He pushes hard against the rigid old wineskins of religiosity, yet he does so with a consistently kind and reasonable spirit.

Michael employs state-of-the-art methodologies to communicate a just and generous orthodoxy, and in these dangerous times, his fresh and intelligent voice is needed more than ever.'

author, co-founder & co-director
the mystic soul project, inc.

'Michael Kimpan's vision for a world that is possible is brimming with hope - even at the edges of a suffering world. He has the capacity to hold space for a large vision of what faith and spirituality can be, and to sit at the fringes of faith space with those who are struggling to find grace - offering that infusion of passion and hope into the lives he touches.'

BRANDAN ROBERTSON

pastor, activist, author

'Michael Kimpan is a passionate innovator, networker, and force for good whose wisdom and insight are unmatched. As his impact for the common good of our world continually expands, he is a voice and visionary that we would all do well to watch and listen to as he paves a path forward towards a more just, generous and beautiful world.'

associate professor of sociology

'Michael's vision of Christianity as good news for everyone animates everything he does. He strives to be like Jesus - loving the marginalized, ministering to those in need, and reserving anger for those who self-righteously think that the best way to show love is to punish people for being different.

I have never seen Michael try to change anyone or 'harvest' their souls. Rather, by speaking from the Gospels of a Jesus who taught people how to show love, he makes following in the footsteps of Jesus seem both eminently reasonable and profoundly revolutionary.'

‘I have worked with Michael Kimpan for a number of years in the shared space of the intersectionality of faith, gender and sexuality. His passion, commitment, wisdom and savvy make him a unique and powerful force for change. I consider Michael as one of the key people to watch as we move forward with a message of love and inclusion.'
