empower the blend
at (un)common good collective, we believe the best story wins.

The Blend provides a unique coffee/wine tasting party conversational setting for a progressive Christ-inspired-multi-faith-hybrid community to engage and learn from a blend of diverse traditions. we do this through modeling solidarity in both conversation and action as we seek to better learn how to best engage our culture in a more loving, inclusive, just and generous way.

our commitment to elevating and centering  marginalized voices is represented within our gatherings and community as we learn with and from various faith traditions via their practitioners and leaders, exploring ways in which we can better partner together to generate goodness in our neighborhoods. The Blend offers an alternative to traditional 'church' services and religious gatherings and instead facilitates authentic community in both orthodoxy and ortho-praxis.

The Blend is a concept community based on years of practicing the art of facilitated discussions at the intersection of faith, gender, sexuality and culture through the lenses of the sacred texts of the abrahamic faiths, incorporating sacred texts and teachings from outside of that tradition as well. through creating a safe space for intentional and respectful dialogue across a wide spectrum of belief, The Blend seeks to promote solidarity where each individual is treated with inherent respect and dignity as part of the Whole.

our goal is not to convert other people to a particular understanding of a certain faith; rather, we seek to learn from the divinely inspired stories of experience each individual and respective community brings to our Table - which is always open.

intentional dialogue provokes healthy discussion - which in turn propagates understanding and compassion.

we take the teachings of jesus seriously, and are committed to patterning our own community after a 21st century understanding of his example - modeling an incarnational approach to our conversations and relationships both inside and outside of our gatherings as we seek to build a better story than we've inherited via faith and family traditions.

we're a different kind of community - reframing the story, and tilting it toward building a better world - for everyone.
